sermonette: Omni Agape
Perfact Love Cast's Out Fear
Given 27-Feb-10; Sermon #979s; 17 minutes
Bill Onisick, ruminating about those things which cause us fear, suggests that fear stems from worry about the future. Knowing that God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, and Omni Agape (all loving) should help us to neutralize those terrors and anxieties for the future. God's agape love is always directed toward those in the God family. The Holy Spirit is God's agape love dwelling in us, enabling us to walk in love, performing works of self-sacrifice. God the Father loves us to the same extent as He loved His only Son. Perfect love casts out all fear. Since God is love, dwelling in love equates to dwelling in God, giving us boldness in our daily trials. Godly love casts out all fear.
