description: Altruism is the farthest thing from the mind of liberals. They desire the votes of minorities and they want power over them, making them dependent so that the disgruntled special interest groups can overturn the influence of the majority population. Recently, President Obama sided with the Mexican President over his own countrymen (the state of Arizona). When the Midianites streamed across the border, as recorded in Judges 6:1-6, Gideon threw them out. But President Obama, more sympathetic to foreigners, welcomes them in. He recently signed an executive order welcoming the Gaza Palestinians. Recently, unscrupulous politicians attached a rider to a bill in the House of Representatives (not yet signed into law) confiscating 30% of American's banking accounts in foreign banks upon withdrawal. Cap and Trade and stimulus packages are lame-brained decisions going against common sense. The drunkenness of the Babylonian fornication has caused our political leaders to act foolishly and stupidly. God has allowed the demons to gain the upper hand while the leftist collectivists drive this nation as we know it into oblivion.

Last week I commented on why liberals love the illegals, and I'm going to continue on that theme today. I'm going to kind of branch away from it just a little bit, but use it as a foundation so that we understand something that I feel that is pertinent to our lives.

The liberals certainly do not love illegals as persons. It's not because they want these people as their neighbors. It's not because they really and truly want to lift these people from the dregs of their circumstances. There is no altruistic reason motivating the majority of liberals whatever. The reason is actually quite simple. The basic reason is power: political power, the power to continue in office repeatedly as an incumbent until they are ready to voluntarily give that office up.

They have adapted a political strategy learned from ancient Muslims. The strategy has a name; it's called millets. In the strategy, they choose to pay varying and strategic degrees of attention to a variety of minorities in such a way as to make each minority believe that they are working in their behalf.

Propaganda and promises given through a cooperating media—it does take the media to help them a great deal—play a large role in producing the hoped-for a result. The result is a coalition of block-voting minorities large enough to overcome the voting power of the other party. And they have been largely successful, especially in the federal House of Representatives, and from time to time in the Senate, as well.

In the presidential and general election of 2008, they hit the jackpot. Never has this country seen such a devastating blow to its citizens' liberties and, along with it, the abandonment of this nation's founding principles. At this time in our nation's history, those illegals represent a sorely needed potential voting bloc of people who have no idea what's going on, no idea of American history, no sense of the American way of life. They, of course, very much want the economic benefits of being in America, but they have no real desire to be an American. They want to remain a separate people and nation within this nation, and they do not even speak the same language.

Little do these people realize that they are nothing more than pawns in this very large and powerful political and economic game. They represent a potential, powerful block of voters, and those in power see more clearly every day that they very much need this potential bloc of voters because they can see that others in the nation are beginning to catch on, that something is radically wrong. Witness the Tea Partiers.

The very first responsibility of the President of the United States of America is to provide for the common defense of its citizens. When the President of Mexico was here a month or so ago, he publicly castigated Arizona for taking steps to defend its citizens. That was an incredible insult against the United States of America, and of course the Arizonians in particular. But the even more incredible thing is that our President sided with the Mexican President because in the larger picture of what they together want to accomplish, he is an agreement with him rather than carrying out his constituted responsibility, which he swore to uphold before millions of television viewers.

I'm going to read to you Judges 6:1-6, when a similar event took place in Israel:

Judges 6:1-6 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD. So the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years, and the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made for themselves the dens, the caves, and the strongholds which are in the mountains. So it was, whenever Israel had sown, Midianites would come up; also Amalekites and the people of the East would come up against them. Then they would encamp against them and destroy the produce of the earth as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep nor ox nor donkey. [This is the direction we are moving in.] For they would come up with their livestock and their tents, coming in as numerous as locusts; both they and their camels were without number; and they would enter the land to destroy it. So Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.

Well, here is a similar situation, with foreigners streaming across the borders. For Obama, amnesty before 2012 is on the agenda. But God raised up Gideon because the people appealed to Him. That will never happen in the United States to any extent now.

How did God use Gideon? He threw the Midianites out, which is what Obama should be doing. But his unwillingness to do so is another on the impressive list of dumb decisions being made these days, decisions that defy common sense—in retrospect, anyway—against the history that has been recorded.

Despite the fact that government-run health care—this is another example—in the entire history of mankind has never worked as efficiently, effectively or economically as American-style, privately operated health care, these people have ignored history.

The history of the Roman Empire is about as well-recorded as any nation's. Do you know that America, like the Romans, is sending our armies all over the world for one reason or another? And like the Romans, it's all done to impose America's will on those other nations. Meanwhile, in Rome, the nation rotted morally and ethically from within. Are you aware that the United States maintains military bases in 130 nations? They are there, ostensibly for protection, but it's also a warning: We're watching you.

The President recently signed an executive order providing $20.3 million to provide a free pass to bring Gaza Palestinians here. Meanwhile, we have an awful lot of Americans out of work, losing their homes in the process. Another sneaky decision was done recently by the House of Representatives. Late in the evening—this is interesting—after dark, they voted to attach a rider to another law which this rider has nothing to do with. This rider authorizes that any American who has over $50,000 in a foreign bank who withdraws any amount from that account to bring back to the United States, that foreign bank is to withhold 30% of that money and send it to the U. S. Government. It's a penalty for their saving money in another land where it's safer.

That is not law yet, but it illustrates how they are economically bleeding those who do have enough resource is to build businesses and put people to work. It illustrates how they are doing all in their power to redistribute wealth and make everybody poor except themselves. That will not directly affect you and me, but the cap-and-trade law that is on their agenda to pass and enforce will affect you and me significantly. Then there is the massive 2008 bailout, another dumb decision. It is becoming more apparent that in reality, this was a bailout of the very individuals who caused the indebtedness through greed.

Why are they doing this? They are making decisions that defy common sense judgment of what history records of what other nations have attempted to do and failed at. Where is godly wisdom?

Revelation 17 and 18 is very revealing, because that prophecy reveals that the drunken fornication of the great whore, Babylon the Great, is an illicit, ungodly union between government and powerful corporate business interests who are, as we would say, in bed together for purposes of manipulating power to their own ends.

What we see happening in the world before us as we approach the climax of Satan's rule over mankind is evidence that God has permitted the demons to gain the upper hand, and they are now openly influencing events through men for their own destructive ends. That is where these weird judgments emanate from. I am not saying that these men are demon possessed. I am saying that they are clearly influenced in a God-rejecting and God-defying way. That's why these judgments are so strange. They just do not ring true.
