description: It is difficult to enjoy daily life, even feeling despair and sorrow, as the contents of the news is twisted by media handlers in favor of an evil government-controlled narrative. Keeping a cheerful outlook can seem impossible. As we approach the coming holy days, the pre-Feast trials loom seemingly more ominous and graver than previously experienced. We need to strive to attain God's perspective on our trials as they shape our emerging character. We need to strive to have the "best feast ever" attitude as we approach the Feast of Tabernacles, evaluating the flow of experiences consisting of friendships, food, witnessing baptisms, rejoicing by serving, positively being present living in the here and now. If we are living in the present, we will prepare to rejoice (Deuteronomy 14:24-26). We should follow James's advice to rejoice in our trials (James 1:2-5) and Paul's admonition to rejoice continually (Philippians 4:4-7) turning all our troubles over to God, receiving the peace that passes all understanding. Let us express patience to those who serve us and augment our opportunities to serve others. The quality of the Feast increases as we adopt a serving attitude toward others.
